ACM’s Managed Medicaid Assist Program to Enhance Care Delivered to Carolina Crescent Health Plan Members

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (April 2, 2008)—ACM, a leading healthcare benefits management company, today announced a new agreement with Carolina Crescent Health Plan that will bring a dynamic combination of authorization processing, claim adjudication, and provider network management to Medicaid beneficiaries throughout South Carolina.

Through ACM’s comprehensive Managed Medicaid Assist program, the company will provide authorization coordination and partially-delegated authorization services; claim adjudication and management of the provider reimbursement process; and patient intake and placement for a full array of services, including home health, infusion therapy, durable medical equipment, and orthotics and prosthetics.

“ACM has a long-established presence in the South Carolina market, already working with many of the state’s leading providers of outpatient-based care and services, credentialed through our GoldNet network,” said David J. McLean, ACM’s Chief Executive Officer. “This new agreement with Carolina Crescent Health Plan allows us to bring our experience and the services of quality providers to all Managed Medicaid enrollees.”

“ACM’s unique knowledge of South Carolina and the 12+ years of experience they bring to this Medicaid segment of the healthcare marketplace will go a long way in helping us continue to improve the health status of our members,” added Jennifer Marchant, Executive Director of Carolina Crescent Health Plan. “We welcome this new partnership with ACM and are confident that the company’s state-of-the-art processing technologies will deliver the efficiencies, cost savings, and quality services that we require.”

ACM began providing services to Carolina Crescent Health Plan and its members in first quarter 2008.
