AccentCare Expands Arizona
Market with Acquisition of Evercare
IRVINE, Calif. (December 18, 2003) – Irvine-based
AccentCare Inc. has announced the purchase of Evercare At
Home, Inc. from Evercare, a wholly owned subsidiary of UnitedHealthGroup. This acquisition represents a major expansion
of home health care services across Arizona. While AccentCare and Evercare at Home primarily provide non-medical
care to senior citizens living at home, the company also has a skilled nursing component.
AccentCare, a privately held service provider, has increased its number of Arizona offices from 4 to 11 and expanded
its reach to practically every corner of the state. “We strive to increase our ability to serve our customers’
needs regardless of locality”, according to William “Biff” Comte, AccentCare’s Chief Executive Officer.
In establishing a relationship with a quality company like UnitedHealthGroup, AccentCare’s acquisition includes
a
multi-year contract to service Evercare in Arizona while also exploring the possibility of expansion to other states.
Teri Clark, Evercare at Home’s Director of Operations, will continue at the helm of the unit.
